Outdoor Program Instructor
Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Working and communicating directly with students and parents. Deliver and instruct day outdoor education and activities

Safety and well-being of all participants. Achievement of risk management and program procedures.

Update the participants list after each lesson. Write recommendation letter as requested,

Responding to emergencies and field incidents

Communicating scheduling requirements and program feedback with other instructors and staff

Prepare a lesson plan according to the program outline
Skills & Qualifications:
• Experience in outdoor education and adventure activity facilitation
• Experience working with children and youth
• Strong work ethic
• Detail-oriented and ability to keep tasks organized within timelines and budgets
• Good communication skills
• Preferred has at least 1 or more valid certificates or guide licenses, in an outdoor recreation activity such as Kayak, Canoe, Hike, etc.
• Class 4 Drivers license or be willing to acquire
• WFR80+ or OFA Level 3 or be willing to acquire
• Strong familiarity with outdoor recreational areas
• Strong work ethic and “can do” attitude
• Detail-oriented and ability to keep tasks organized within timelines and budgets
• Openness and willingness to learn new skills and management systems
Working Hours:
A flexible schedule, Monday - Friday, weekend or holidays as required
Salary:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour depending on experience
